Students seeking admission to the ninth grade should have successfully completed their elementary and junior high school requirements and demonstrate the readiness for high school. As part of the process, they need to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT), obtain recommendations from their current school's Principal and eighth grade teachers, and provide transcripts from their seventh and eighth grade years.
The admission decision considers their seventh and eighth grade report cards, placement test scores, and recommendations from the current junior high school. If necessary, an interview will be scheduled to determine admission. Note: Placement into freshman advanced courses is determined by the placement test scores and/or a subject readiness test, scheduled on an alternate date.
Prospective students seeking admission into grades 10, 11, or 12 at Saint Bonaventure High School are obligated to submit an official transcript and attendance records from their prior high school. Additionally, they are expected to engage in a personal interview with the Saint Bonaventure Administration. The admission evaluation encompasses factors such as a history of favorable academic performance as indicated by transcripts, the outcome of the parent/student interview, the applicant's expressed eagerness to enroll, and the availability of space within the school. These criteria collectively influence the determination of admission eligibility. For prospective transfer students, please click HERE.
