SBHS participates in progress monitoring (STAR) testing through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Students in grades 9 and 10 take the STAR tests in both Reading and Math at least three times each year. These tests are computer-based, adaptive 'snapshot' tests that adjust to each student. They are short and are designed to be low-stress pictures of student progress. Results from the tests are used to inform classroom instruction and to assist in placement for future classes. Students should take each testing session seriously.
Please use the buttons below to access the school calendar to check testing dates or to read the Fall Testing Letter, sent to parents via TeacherEase. Any questions regarding STAR testing can be directed to Mrs. Horan, our Dean of Academic Excellence.
